Benefits
In this inaugural class, the Thrive Summer Fellowship will provide a select group of rising college juniors with an 8-week paid internship, a stipend to offset education costs, and exclusive access to the Thrive team and portfolio organizations. Over the course of the internship, Thrive Summer Fellows will be paired with a Thrive employee as a mentor, attend exclusive Fellows events aimed at developing entrepreneurial acumen, and work on projects in partnership with Thrive’s Investment and Impact teams in-person at our New York headquarters.
$40,000 grant to help offset junior year education costs
Paid internship, annualized at $100,000 salary, beginning on June 3, 2024 (pending school schedule) and ending on August 2, 2024
Mentor from the Thrive team for the duration of the internship
Minimum age: 18
Current sophomore at an accredited, four-year US university (graduating in 2026)
Interested in startups, founding a company, or investing.
Motivated to understand what it takes to build a lasting business.
Ability to understand and analyze businesses.
Able to develop analyses to gain insights and answer key business questions. Structured and rigorous. Quantitative background is a plus.
High degree of emotional intelligence.
Ability to engage and clearly communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders and personalities. Capable of making a positive lasting impression with the Thrive team and our portfolio companies.
Demonstrates respect for others.
Ethical and honest. Earns trust and maintains confidence over time. Does what is right, not what is personally or politically expedient.

Completion of the following essay questions, no more than 500 words each:

What do you see as the biggest threat to the global economy today and why? Alternatively, what global developments/investment themes are you most interested in and why?
What is the most important company started in the last 20 years? Why?

Submission of one letter of recommendation, one from someone who has worked with you in a verifiable professional capacity (job, student/campus organization, etc.) or one from a professor or academic mentor.
